                  中国馆是一个永久性的广告,其价值无法衡量,注定从筹划开始就成为了举世瞩目的公众事件。惊人的广告效应,让数以千计的中外企业都渴望参与到中国馆的建设当中去,哪怕只是微不足道的合作。

                  作为中国U型玻璃的创始人,米家华不是没有心动过;作为一个企业老总,他比任何人都清楚U玻用在中国馆上会带来怎样的效应。他的决定显然违背了商人以赢利为第一目的的准则,只有他最清楚,放弃了利润,却维护了一个中国企业家应该有的民族气节!

                  [米家华]:“中国馆展示的是中国文化、中国科技、中国创造力,作为一个中国人,我希望中国馆的每一块建材都能够用中国自己创造的绿色建材,尽管我们的U型玻璃已经实现了国产化,但是它的原创却来自德国,这就是我放弃在中国馆上使用U玻的主要原因!”

                  中国馆总设计师、中国工程院院士何镜堂教授与米家华并不相识,却英雄所见略同,何总设计师一再强调:“我一直有一个原则,就是让人远远一看,就知道这个建筑一定是中国的!”

                  既然一定是中国的,就应该像米家华主张的那样,让中国馆的每一个点都是中国元素。当中国馆以中国精神独有的姿态傲然屹立在黄浦江畔的时候,这个红色建筑才让大家开始理解米家华了。米家华的所作所为,正是中国馆浓墨重彩所展示的民族气节。

                  尽管中国馆的斗拱顶棚上没有一片是U玻,从美学角度来审视中国馆,它依然借鉴了U玻的美学元素。无论线条,还是造型,都跟U玻完全一样。

                  对U玻有所了解的朋友肯定也发现了,U玻的显著特点之一就是透光不透视,而中国馆上的外墙玻璃却显然是透视的。

                  [米家华]:“经过多年的自主研发,我们生产的U型玻璃品种越来越丰富了。目前我们主打的超白U型玻璃,与传统的U型玻璃最大的区别,就是透光又透视,完全可以满足不同建筑的美学需求!”

                  海南三亚太阳湾高级度假区正在建造的柏悦酒店,是中国第一家七星级酒店,7500平方米的外墙使用了超白U型玻璃,成为了这家酒店的最大亮点之一。

                  2010上海世博会是世界建筑史上的一个重大盛会,第一次以城市为主题,集中展示世界一流的城市理念、建筑科技和设计技术。作为一流的绿色建材U型玻璃,不能在中国馆上靓丽现身,确实是莫大的遗憾。让公司员工兴奋的是,米家华同意了跟智利国家馆进行合作。

                  智利馆坐落在离中国馆不远的C区,占地3000平方米,在世博园众多展馆当中只能算中等偏小的规模,只要你静心感受,这个不起眼  的展馆却能够触动人心。智利总统米歇尔?巴切莱特和智利馆总设计胡安?佩德罗,都希望这个建筑能够永久地保留下来,因为形似波浪般起伏的水晶杯中,蕴藏着未来城市发展的神奇密码。全球的媒体、不同肤色的游客,对这个水晶杯给予了格外的关注和高度的赞美。
